Hír János: A Cricetodontini nemzetség evolúciója a Kárpát-medencében

„Cricetodon” klariankae HÍR 2017, Felsőtárkány-Felnémet 2/3 and 2/7 It is a large sized and moderately high crowned cricetodontid. In M1 the antero- cone is splitted, the mesoloph is absent. The paracone posterior ectololoh and the anterior spur of the metacone is united. Based on the morphometric characteristics of the species, a new evolutionary lineage is proposed in the Carpatian area including ’’Cricetodon" venczeli (Vârciorog) „C.” cf. klariankae (Kozárd) „C.” klariankae (Felsőtárkány- Felnémet 2/3). cf. Byzantinia sp. or div. sp., Comăneşti 1 The material consists of only six molars. FERU et al (1980) described two species from this material: Hispanomys cf. lavocati and Hispanomys cf. bijugatus. This classification was revised by HÍR et al (2011). They concluded that the finds are referable to the Byzantinia genus. More exact determination is not possible. The mollusc fauna of the locality was interpreted as Volhynian-Bessarabian transition, which is identical to the Late Sarmatian in the Central Paratethys. The faunas of Litke, Hasznos, Szentendre and Sámsonháza mirrored the climatic circumstances of the Middle Miocene Climatic Optimum. Vércsorog, Kozárd and Felsőtárkány-Felnémet are referable to the Middle Miocene Climatic Transition. At the Sarmatian-Pannonian border Cricetodontini disappeared from the Carpathian Basin. 361
