raw materials, stemming from more than 100 km distance from the site, such as fel- sitic porphyry (metarhyolite), Carpathian-2 type obsidian and Carpathian radiolarite are present as well. At the same time, concerning the 39 pieces of tools, the majority (somewhat less than the two-thirds) is made of siliceous pebble, one fifth is of felsitic porphyry. Only a vanishing part of the tools is made of limnic quartzite. The industry of the site can be defined clearly as a flake-industry, no blades, not even elongated flakes are present. In the tool-kit composition the side-scrapers dominate, followed by the end-scrapers made on flake. There are only one leaf-point and two bifacial tools. Ten pieces, the one fourth of the tools, are fragmentary artefacts not to be classified. Typologically, and on the basis of the tool-kit composition, the assemblage can not be attributed unambiguously. According to the techno-typological considerations the assemblage can be assigned to a certain kind of Middle Palaeolithic industry. 208
