Fordítás: Guba Szilvia Profane Myths - The Artistic Work of Csaba Fürjesi By Gabriella Shah The aim of this essay is to introduce the creative periods of the painter Csaba Fürjesi, who was born in Pásztó. In the main focus are his graphic work and the so called 'Profane myths' series within his painting work. From among his graphic pieces in the present study special emphasis is given to the Sigismund series inspired by the 600th anniversary of Pásztó becoming a town and also to works of metaphysical character. The latter shows the stages of human life in large graphic pieces (100 x 70 cm). His painting style can be characterized as expressive with brave use of colours. Csaba Fürjesi builds on the mythical traditions of earlier periods and summarizes the characters in his mind, imprints of reminiscences, bits of experiences with a personal mythological system. All these components are arranged by him on subjective viewpoint, individual aspect, that means on his own personal experience base. His pictures make not only a superficial introspection possible, but the interested connoisseur can also guess the correlations of the deeper explanatory principles of world. His paintings are the imprints of an artist's answers always seeking new ways. Fordítás: Tátrai Emese
