Tanulmányok - Természettudomány - Hír János: Felső miocén aprógerincesek Egyházasdengelegről
The Egyházasdengeleg fauna renders this thesis more complicated because the sand of the Egyházasdengeleg mine is undoubtedly a fluvial sédiment as verified by the présence of rieh, yet unelaborated, fish matériái (300 teeth) and freshwater molluscs, the anomalomyds probably needed a steppe environment, but flying squirells are also présent. These animais needed arboreal vegetation. This contradiction сап only be solved if we présume the existence of a riverbank forest in a dry territory. Acknowledgements The authors would like to express their sincère thanks to Prof. László Kordos (director of the Geological Museum of Hungary) and to Prof. Dénes Jánossy (retired director of the Paleontological Collection of the Hungárián Natural History Museum) for making us possible to study the holotypes and other materials of différent fossil mammals. We also thank the kind help and hospitality of Prof. Konstantin Doukas (National University of Athens) during our study-tours in Greece. Références Bachmayer F. et Wilson R.
