Summary Pliocène micromammals from a sand-pit near E gyházasdengeleg Egyházasdengeleg is a small village in the southern part of Nógrád-county not far from Szirák and Jobbágyi. The locality is in the western margin of the village. A rieh fluvial and terrestrial mollusc fauna was collected hear by the authot. The collection was going on by the sifting and washing of the sand. The micromammal finds were sporadic in the cross-bedded, the red and the gray sand layer. The locality has provincial importance, because it is the firsth pliocène microvertebrate find — collected by modem technic — in the county. The récent material is not sufficient for correct stratigraphical cunclusions, but it is possible, the position of Egyházasdengeleg is between the MN 9 and MN 14 zones. The collection is continueing.
