Közlemények - Természettudomány - Hír János: A bátonyterenyei (csengerházi) löszfeltárás faunavizsgálata

3. The occurence of Catinella arenaria is interesting. Recently in East Europe there is only a small relict population ofthis species in the Muran-karst in SlovaJcia \L02iEK Y ., 1964]. In the Western Hungárián loess séquences there is stratigraphie importance of the Catinella arenaria [KROLOPP E., 1966, 1983]. In Northern Hungary the species is not rare. For example it was found in every terraces of the Sajô-river [HIR J. , 1983, b].Itis possible: the récent relict area dur ing the Pleistocene was wider and included the North-Hungarian Middle Mountains. For this reason the C. arenaria сапЧ be usedfor biostratigraphic classification in this territory. 4. The Trichia hispida is the most common "loess snail" in the transdanubian séquences [His abundancy is sometimes about 50%]. In Norther Hungary the species is not so common [the abundancy only about 1—2%]. The paleoecologic raesons of this effect are unknown. We сап distinguish 4 ecólogical period in the section. Ith [12—8th samples ]: there is the typical "loess-steppe" fauna assamblage with wide écologie tolerating species and somé relative warm lover s. 2nd [7— 6th samples]:between the 8nd and7nd samples there isthe most expressed change of the séquence. The climate got colder and more humid. 3th [5—4st samples]: extremely cold 4th [3— Ist samples]: the climate got warm The exact аде of the fauna сапЧ be determined. The early würmian glaciation is probable on the basis ofthe geomorfologi cal position ofthe section. 437
