That is exactly why we hypothize that the place of production should be looked for in this area. 82 Deep engraving is characteristic of them as it is in reliefs of the Severan period. Kofajtdk és gyűrűk A gemmák kőfajtáiban nagy változatosság figyelhető meg, de kiemelkedően magas a karneolok aránya: a Kállaygyűjteményben eléri a 40%-ot, a Nemzeti Múzeumba került brigetiói gemmák között a 30%-ot. Ezt a nicolopaszták követik a Kállay-gyűjteményben 15%-kal, a NM-ban 17%-kal. Majdnem azonos arányban fordulnak elő mindkét gyűjteményben a barna jáspisok (15%). Ezt követik a réteges achátok fajtái (10%): a szardónix és nicolo 34 darabos csoportjai, 3 kalcedon, végül 1-2 darab képviseli a többi jáspisfélét, továbbá a prasemet, ametisztet, szárdot, a Nemzeti Múzeumban a hegyikristályt. A női portrékat ábrázoló szardónix kameók viszont valószínűleg a Balkán feStonetypes and Rings A great variety of materials are illustrated by the gems from Brigetio but the number of cornelian gems is extraordinarily high: in the Kállay collection, it reaches 40%, and among the gems in the National Museum from Brigetio, 30%. It is followed by nicolo paste: in the Kállay collection, 15%, and in the National Museum, 17%. Brown jaspers appear in almost equal proportion in both collections, 15%. They are followed by varieties of banded agate (10%): 3-4 pieces of sardonyx and nicolo, 3 pieces of chalcedony. Finally there are the other kinds of jasper, prase, amethyst, sard and the mountain crystal in the National Museum (1-2 pieces each). There are several moulding of glass: blue, purple, white, light-green and dark-blue. We have already seen that a high number of nicolo paste is charasteristic of the Western provinces, there are fewer and fewer as we move East.
