Kovács Éva: Múzeumpedagógia a Tatabányai Múzeum Szabadtéri Bányászati Múzeumában és Ipari Skanzenében (2006–2012)

114 Kovács Éva Museum education in the Open Air Museum of Mining and Industry of the Tatabánya Museum from 2006 to date Éva Kovács The present study is an overview of the museum education classes of the Tatabánya Museum. It offers information on the reasons for introducing the presently available classes and deals with the planned tasks as well. The reconstruction of the central building of the Museum (to be finished in the near future) and the new permanent exhibition to be organised after that serve as a perfect tool to do so. The personality of the museum educator defines the process of the organization and the conduction of programmes. In the Tatabánya Museum, this person is an expert on pre-school and primary school education, as well as on music, dance and drama education. Thus, drama education plays a key role. It is by no chance that the Tatabánya Museum decided to offer such opportunities: we are convinced that museum education—similarly to other artistic activities—contributes to the complex development of children by complementing and reinforcing the knowledge acquired at school and by opening the gate to self-directed learning. The article also contains a short description of the classes; the appendix is a summarizing list. Irodalom Múzeumok a „Közművelődésért”. Nemzetközi Múzeumpedagógiai Konferencia. Bp. 2002.
