Dévai Kata: A Komárom/Szőny vásártéri ásatások római kori üvegleletei

A KOMÁROm/sZŐNY-VÁSÁRTÉRI ÁSATÁSOK RÓMAI KORI ÜVEG LELETEI ping. These beakers showing Eastern parallels can be dated back to the first half of the 3th century AD. The most typical pieces of the bottles are the base fragments of square bottles with different ornamentation (rosette, palmette, and ornament in squares) (Pi. 4.3). Not too many unguent bottles were found, but the ones uncovered have bulbous, conical, tubular and indented forms (PI. 5.4). We should also mention a patera handle (Pi. 5-3)According to the quantity of the found window glasses, some rooms of the buildings of Szőny- Vásártér could have had windows made of glass. Some glass batches, spoiled and deformed pieces explain that there could have been glass-making workshops in the vicinity. Translated by Kata Dévai 145 I
