Kertész Róbert: A középső kőkor kutatásának jelenlegi állása az Alföldön

The Present State of the Research of the Mesolithic in the Great Hungarian Plain (Summary) Starting out from the Mesolithic find assemblages had been determined in the Jászság area in the years past (Jászberény I — П, Jászberény IV, Jászberény-Zsombékos I, Jásztelek I) as well as from the other one which earlier had already been discovered in the Northern Hungarian Plain (Tarpa-Márki tanya) — however it hasn't been identified up to the present day — a faciès can be outlined in this region which has cultural-chronological features of its own and characteristic raw material structure as well. We want to introduce this Mesolithic complex into the literature on the basis of its spread under the name of the Northern Hungarian Plain Mesolithic Industry. On the grounds of the so far available data the Northern Hungarian Plain Mesolithic Industry can be divided into two chronological phases. The older Jászberény phase which can be dated into the second half of the Middle Mesolithic — eponym site: layer С of the site Jászberény I — belongs to the last third of the Boreal period. The younger, Late Mesolithic Jásztelek phase — eponym site: layer В of the site Jásztelek I — covers the beginning of the Atlantic period. Present paper intends to demonstrate the chipped stone finds of these two eponym sites of the Northern Hungarian Plain Mesolithic Industry.
