Régészeti tanulmányok - Szentpéteri József: ADAM és ÁRPÁD. A Kárpát-mendence kora középkori lelőhelykatasztere (VI - XIII. század)

SZENTPÉTERI JÓZSEF: ADAM ÉS ÁRPÁD. A KÁRPÁT-MEDENCE KORA KÖZÉPKORI LELŐHELYKATASZTERE (6-13. SZÁZAD) 1962 [The Conquest period and early Árpádian Age grave finds of the Carpathian Basin. Site gazetteer]). The Creation of the “Adam & Árpád" Databases The development of the database will be based on professional consultations and the resulting database model. The primary goal of the database will be the registration, mapping and querying of the 6th-13th century archaeological sites of the Carpathian Basin (Avar period, Hungarian Conquest period and Árpádian Age). With the help of this application, the researchers participating in the project will be able to upload data to the system in accordance with their user access level and to create statistical analyses and professional reports. It will be possible to upload documents (pictures, text documents) to all archaeological sites. The system developed as a gazetteer of archaeological sites has to be upgradable and expandable in order to incorporate and analyse more detailed content in the future. (This will be the archaeological artefact database module to be created in the second phase of the project, which will be able to record features and finds within archaeological sites.) Personalised fields The research project is characterised by a board professional collaboration: the project will be co-ordinated by an editorial board whose members have expertise in all fields of the Migration period and early medieval archaeology of Hungary. The specialists drawn together for the project come from the Historical Institute, the Archaeological Institute and the Ancient Hungarian History Work Group of the HAS Research Centre for the Humanities, the Hungarian National Museum, the Institute of Archaeological Sciences of the Eötvös Loránd University and the Department of Archaeology of Szeged University. The entries on the sites in the database will be written by the active generations of Hungarian archaeology and of the neighbouring countries. Translated by Magdaléna Seleanu 263 I I
