The mixing of the pottery styles of the early Urnfield culture maintaining strong Transdanubian and Eastern Alpine connections on the one hand, and the Belegis II group prevalent in Vojvodina and the Banat on the other hand appears in the pre-Gáva period settlement of Tiszabura. In the vessel depot examined in the article the forms and decorations applied in the local, former Tumulus culture are present together with the new forms, decorations and surface treatments characteristic of the regions of Transdanubia, Vojvodina and the Banat. The large graphite-coated vessels with channelled decorations in the depot must have been representative elements of the onetime households. 192
