Toy Trade History in Budapest - The Yield of an Exhibition

The Hungarian Museum of Trade and Tourism organised a newly toy-trade exhibition (To the little fairy’ The toy-trade history in Budapest) in 2009-2010. In Hungary and in Europe till no one organise and exhibit in these topic. This project was new in the professional toy-museology. This article describes this new exhibition and the exhibition scientific, social, economical and museological results.

The topic, the toy-trade history is unlearnt. This museum which is unique in Europe with his professional organised a hungarian toy-trade exhibiton and pressed a new book about the toy-trade history in Budapest. These special exhibiton itroduce many new aspects about this matter. The exhibiton brings many new museological, scientific and collectional effects. The museum collaborate other museums and private collections. The exhibition was really popular and brings new knowledge. The article analyse and appreciate this exhibition proceeds. The topic is really important but unfortunately unknow. In the future the toy museums needs more new professional cooperation, and needs to take more research about the toy-trade. The author write about how, and why collect more toys and how use the trade historical sources. The author is historian and museologist, who orgnised and leade this project.
