There has been a broadening in the activities conducted by the department over the years. Whereas our activities were initially only directed towards the restoration of excavated materials, we now deal with all kinds of protection issues relating to objects belonging to the county's museums and other exhibition venues, not to mention those peasant cottages that are open to the general public, temporary and permanent displays, archaeological finds, collections, bequests, and those materials that are currently in storage. Indeed our activities now go extend beyond the borders of Heves County. 345
