th century survive in our Calvinist churches. One of the most popular motifs to be found on these magnificent examples of the embroiderer's art is the three branched shrub decorated with pomegranates. This study examines the pattern types present on the cloths that can be found in the Calvinist parishes of eastern part of Hungary lying beyond the River Tisza.
