MILLENIAL PROGRAMMES AT THE ISTVÁN DOBÓ CASTLE MUSEUM IN EGER

The years 2000 and 2001 brought important results for the István Dobó Castle Museum. In 2000 the memorial place preserving the walls of the lOth-llth century rotunda was opened. The following year the coursing system for the castle’s medieval church was completed, which forms the basis for the further protection of the walls. After three years of preparation the permanent exhibition “The History of the Eger Castle” was opened along with a temporary exhibition dedicated to the first thousand years of Heves County and a conference on the latest results of research into 13th century castles.
