EQMal: a new European malacological association

EQMal: a new European malacological association EQMal (European Quaternary Malacologists) is an organization established in association with the Subcomission on European Quaternary Stratigraphy of INQUA (SEQS). The aim of EQMal is to stimulate exchange of knowledge on European Quaternary malacology, includ­ing taxonomy, palaeoecology, stratigraphy, palaeogeography, dating, European correlation, and so on. EQMal will consider the Quaternary in the broad sense. The "EQMal Newsletter" is issued to turther these aims. Initially, the newsletter will appear yearly and contain the membershiplist, references published during the year, news and views of members, news on localities, and announcements of forthcoming meetings ect. Members are recommended to participate in meetings of SEQS and of Unitas Malacologica. Membership is free for active contributors to the subject.
