Jósa Miklós - Ulrich Attila: A németszőgyéni és bánházi Jósa család története (Régi magyar családok 3. Debrecen, 2005)
Summary
his memoirs at our disposal, but also by making some of György and Béla Jósa's pesonal correspondence of great importance available for us. These letters that were written to among others Jenő Jósa gave us the most precise picture on the character and beliefs of the first geneologist of the family. These letters also revealed the spiritual legacy he represented and passed onto the next generations. There are only six known male descendants in the family living today. However we can never rule out the possibility of finding connections with descendants of those whose branches are at present ruled extinct for lack of information. The search goes on! We belive that we managed to write the comprehensive history of the Jósa de Németszögyén clan which covers the past 500 years. We also hope that this book in which all our efforts materialize will entertain, educate, and perhaps inspire many to take up geneological research on their own. Geneology is and auxiliary science that has beautiful traditions in Hungary yet not been elevated to its ranking it deserves. We wish all those who decide to follow our footsteps good luck. Our book is meant to bring us closer to the previously unknown, shed light on the facts and assert that geneology is important.
