The Habans came to Hungary in the second half of the 16th century because they were chased for being anabaptists. The Protestant Hungarian noblemen settled them down on the domains of Transylvanian princes. They were the best pottters of the era. We can find on their white, yellow or blue tinglazed pots first different floral patterned, later figurái ornaments, complemented with birds or badges of differnt crafts. In the first vitriné the'oldest among the pieces from the 17th century is the one from 1709 typical of dishes having craftbadge on them. The dishes in the next vitriné are the proofs of the general use of this type of dishes. On the blue, yellow and whiteglazed dishes and pots in vitriné 3. the floral motifs, carnations, tulips and marguerites show the same decorative elements with intense artistic variation. In the fourth vitriné besides the chess-board motif ornaments, presenting, birds, deers and trees of life, can be seen. The major part of the bokálys presenting saints and the pots ornamented with asters and buildings were made in the 19th century (vitriné 5.). 423
