IRODALOMTÖRTÉNET - Bakó Endre: Juhász Gyula debreceni kapcsolatai
196 BAKÓ ENDRE S mégis, mintha jobb kezét a nála idősebb Adynak, balját meg a nála fiatalabb József Attilának nyújtaná, tehát századunk két legnagyobb magyar forradalmár költőjét kapcsolná testvéri láncba. Endre Bakó GYULA JUHÁSZ'S CONNECTION WITH DEBRECEN It is well known that Gyula Juhász, an outstanding figure of 20 t h century Hungarian poetry, was closely attached to the city of Szeged. This study shows his ties to Debrecen with the help of his correspondence, some memoirs, literary analyses and writing in the contemporary press. Gyula Juhász became acquainted with Gábor Oláh and Árpád Tóth while they studied together in Budapest. His connection to Oláh can be traced in their correspondence from 1904 to the early 1920s. In 1924 Gyula Juhász gave a reading of his poems at a celebration held by the Csokonai Circle and later it was Gábot Oláh to whom he dedicated his poem inspired by his trip to Debrecen. He also visited Debrecen at the invitation of the Ady Society and appeared before an audience. On his death he was duly commemorated in the local papers. 38 Juhász Gyula.
