THE ELABORATION OF THE HERBARIUM CONTAINING RÖMER COLLECTIONS IN THE HISTORICAL COLLECTION OF THE BOTANICAL DEPARTMENT OF THE HUNGARIAN NATURE HISTORICAL MUSEUM

The herbarium of Palatine Joseph of Habsburg and his descendants is a part of the Historical Collection of the Botanical Department of the Hungarian Nature Historical Museum in Budapest. The Römer Herbarium, which could be incorporated into this family herbarium by means of an act of bestowal, consists of two parts: 208 pages represent Rómer’s private collection, while 121 pages are a result of different exchange connections. The present paper looks into the data of these latter 121 pages unfolding the information that could be drawn from the cards of the individual pages and presents the brief biographies of 22 collectors.
