Aszt Ágnes: Ad Flexum környékének régészeti adattára

ARRABONA 2011.49/1. TANULMÁNYOK ARCHAEOLOGICAL DATA STORE OF THE REGION OF AD FLEXUM This paper presents the Roman age sites of the collection area of the Hanság Museum in data store format. The original collection area of the Hanság Museum, which was founded in 1882, comprised the former Moson County, where important sites from the 2-4th centuries belonging to the limes were found, but after the two world wars this area shrank back to the Mosonmagyaróvár Region of 892 km2 situated in the middle of Győr-Moson-Sopron County, in the Basin of Győr where the geographical areas of Hanság, the Moson Plain and Szigetköz meet. The region includes 27 settlements about half of which were inhabited in the Roman age. As a result of the intensive research - especially of the systematic field surveys - this paper covers 120 sites - mainly settlement traces. The sites are introduced in alphabetical order specifying the exact site name (A), date and type of the research and name of the archaeologist (B), unfolded facts (C), specific dating (D), description of the finds and the main finds (E), inventory number of the processed material (F), data store number of the documentation (G) and the relevant literature (H). Although the workings of Ivánfy Ede and Sőtér Ágost can be considered as preliminaries to this paper and Visy Zsolt and Lörincz Barnabás also presented detailed description of certain subfields, this paper is the first effort to present a comprehensive topographic data collection of a specific time period with the primary aim to call the archaeologists' attention to the rich Roman past of the area, since, although the sites are known and the primal processing of the finds has also been made, but their detailed analyses is still waiting to be done.
