THE EDUCATIONAL CONDITIONS OF THE KAPUVÁR DEANERY DISTRICT IN THE 1840s

The study focuses on the Roman Catholic primary educational conditions of the Kapuvár Deanery District. It covers the duties and remuneration of the teachers and reviews the data of the annual reports of the parsons sent to the Bishopric, namely: the name, qualification and languages of the teachers; the language of the education; number, results and social status of the school-age children; the curriculum and the weekly number of lessons; the condition of the school building and the cause of the absences.
