1901-1902

This paper is the second part of the study published in Arrabona 2005, vol. 43/1 reviewing the most important events in the artistic life of Győr from year to year - at this time concentrating on the years of 1901 and 1902. One of the key issues was the local reactions to the nation-wide debate of the decentralisation of the culture and in relation with it the organisation of a major art exhibition in Győr.

The study also presents a picture of the artists based in the city and the most important memorials unveiled in this period.

Die vorliegende Studie ist eine Fortsetzung jener in der Ausgabe 2005 - 43/1. der Arrabona veröffenüichten Artikelreihe, die von Jahr zu Jahr - und nun bezüglich des Zeitraumes von 1901 -1902 - die wesentlichen künstlerischen Ereignise der Stadt Győr darstellt. Aus der Reihe dessen trat die Resonanz des um die Frage der Dezentralisierung der Kultur entstandenen landesweiten Disputs hervor, und die Veranstaltung der im engen Zusammenhang damit stehenden großangelegten Győrer Kunstausstellung. In der Studie werden darüber hinaus die in dieser Periode in der Stadt wirkenden Künstler und ihre eingeweihten bedeutenden Denkmäler erwähnt.
