ARRABONA40.2002. TANULMÁNYOK Zoltán Székely: Die barock sakralen Denkmäler von Hédervár Der Flecken, Hédervár war in dem XVII. und XVIII. Jahrhundert zuerst der Sitz der Hédervárys, dann der Viczays. In der zur Zeit der Reformation evangelisch gewordenen Siedlung begann die Gegenreformation in den 1640-er Jahren. Im deren Laufe wurden die zwei mittelalterlichen Kirchen (St. Mihály Kirche und die Kirche der Heiligen Jungfrau Maria) neugebaut, Kapellen (die Kapelle von Loreto, die von St. Rozália, die von St. Peregrinus, die der Toten und die Burgkapelle) errichtet und Statuen (Leidender Christus, Mariahilf mit Pestheiligen, Pieta, St. János von Nepomuk, St. Flórián, Christus auf dem Berg der Ölbäume, Stein- und Holzkreuze) auf öffentlichen Plätzen aufgestellt. Dieser Prozess setzte sich bis Ende des XVIII. Jahrhunderts fort und wurde auch mit dem zeitweiligen Umtausch von Altaren ergänzt. Mit Hilfe der schriftlichen Quellen kann man der Entfaltung und Umwandlung der sakralen Umgebung und der Veränderung des Heiligenkultes folgen. Székely Zoltán: The sacred monuments of Hédervár in the Baroque Hédervár - a market-town - was the seat of the of the Hédervárys first, then the Viczays in the 17 and 18* centuries. During the period of Reformation, the acts of Counter-Reformation evolved in this Lutheran settlement from the 1640s on. As a consequence to this, two churches of the Middle Ages were reconstructed (dedicated to Saint Michael, and the Blessed Virgin, respectively), chapels were built (dedicated to the mysteries of Loretto, Saint Rosalie, Saint Peregrine, one for the Deceased, and the Castle Chapel), and sculptures were erected in public places (Christ of Sorrows; Mariahilf [Our Help, the Blessed Virgin] with the saints of pestilence; Pieta; Saint John of Nepomuk; Saint Florian; Christ at the Mount of Olives; crosses of stone and wood). This process - completed with the change of the altars from time to time - lasted till the end of the 18* century. With the help of the written sources one can follow the change of the sacred elements in the landscape and the change of the cult of the saints. 175
