Chronology Broadly speaking, the burial rites and finds date the population of Sárbogárd to the 10-1 lth century. The presence of a belt with mounts having palmetta decoration, plate disks, leather sabretache, band bracelets with twisted back ends, button with ear, rosettas, earring with a hanging series of beads, multi-colored beads and cowrie shells in the graves are altogether characteristic of the conquerors entering the Carpathian Basin in 896. This is also supported by the pear-shaped stirrups, bow, quiver and arrows which are objects associated to military relics of the 10th century. The hair-ring ending in an „s" and the half-moon shaped pendant are also well-dateable types of objects. Such objects were found in great numbers in the 11th century.
