Ha számunkra nem is ismert hogy hol, mikor és milyen körülmények között ismerkedtek meg egymással és szőttek barátságot, a plakett (egyelőre egyedüli) bizonyítéka marad annak az el nem tagadható barátságnak, amely két művészembert — Gozsdu Eleket és Teles Edét — összekötött a XIX-XX. század fordulóján. Fordította: Miklósik Ilona NICOLETTA TOMA-DEMIAN A LITTLE KNOWN PLAQUETTE OF ELEK GOZSDU (1849-1919) The medal collection of the Banat Museum from Timisoara is in possession of a plaquette, bearing the inventory number 644. The tablet features the portrait of the local lawyer and writer Gozsdu Elek, whose importance in the province's social life is nowadays forgotten. The plaquette was made by Teles Ede, a leader of the modern Hungarian sculpture trends and a well-known medal designer. He dedicated the plaquette to his friend Gozsdu Elek, at his fiftieth anniversary. After describing the elements of the plaquette, the author introduces the biography of the two characters, attempting to find new aspects of their friendship. In conclusion, the plaquette described in this paper stands as unique evidence of the friendship that gathered these two important men of culture from the end of the XIX
