Portrait and Career Sketch of Miklós Galyasi János Dömötör This dissertation portrays one of the more notable participants in the cultural life of Hódmezővásárhely, by examining the career of Miklós Galyasi, who is interesting as a poet, a man of letters and also as a Museum Director. The portrait, which is a blend of historic research work and personal memoirs, simultaneously allows the reader to become acquainted with this provincial man of culture and - as a consequence of this - acquainted with the cultural relationships of an extensive peasant town on the Hungarian plain.
