Otherwise, he continues to be the artistic spokesman of simple, hand-labor people. The paintings of Demeter János Lóránt do not yield to categorization into any Hungarian trends. He is a sovereign and ethical creator. He is a realist and at the same time avantgarde-ish in his approach. For him, artistic form is never self absorbed, rather it points forward to the communication of content. Lóránt feels all too clearly that we live in a kick-and-rush world overobsessed with success in which we are exposed to constant manipulation.
