Find This option differs from the previous one by associating an element in the database with other information in the database or with a map element. Clicking the ^^ icon in the toolbar or choosing the Find option in the drop down menu after right clicking a selected layer allows setting the search parameters in a new window. - Fill out the Find field. - Select the requested layer in the In layers drop down menu (the Visible layers and All layers options are also available here). - Checking the "Find features that are similar to or contain the search string" box brings up similar elements, otherwise only matching elements are shown. - The Search field offers three options, depending on whether the search should apply to all fields of the layers database, a specific field or fields, or the primary display field of each layer.
