Történettudomány - Sipos József: Az 1917-es oroszországi forradalmak hatása a Gazdapártra

lózsef Sipos The effect of the 1917 Russian revolutions to the Smallholders' Party The effect of the 1917 Russian revolutions to the Smallholders1 Party József Sipos Despite a viewpoint spanning an entire century and several accomplishments of Hungarian historiography, the reception, interpretation and effect of the 1917 revolutions in Hungary is a scarcely researched field, especially from the viewpoint of classes striving for Hungarian sociopolitical representation. Atthe same time, opinions and ideas regarding the Russian revolutions that were posted in the daily press had an effect on the thinking of the peasantry. Thus, we assume that publications regarding the 1917 Russian revolution shaped the opinion of peasantry, thus the accumulated knowledge was able to become influential in shaping the class position of peasantry reading the weekly newspapers. For this reason, these reality interpretations were able to - in a substantial manner - influence the attitude of peasantry towards the 1917 Russian revolutions and the subsequent 1918- 1919 Hungarian revolutions. Our study wishes to contribute to further basic research of the subject by analyzing articles published in one of the most influential newspapers of the era, the Magyar Lobogó (Hungarian Flag). 174
