Reptilia - reptile taxon Éva Almási The vast majority of Hungarian amphibian and reptile fauna is represented in the "fluid” collection of Móra Ferenc Museum. Most of them were collected and determined by Dr. Miklós Marián between 1953 and 1957. We use a 70% solution of isopropyl alcohol for the conservation of animals. The number of catalogued stuffed animals is 843, representing 73 different species. The present communique presents the collection’s reptile species list, together with locality-related data. 367 localities of 21 species are present here. The origin of 52 exotic species in our collection is unclear, their collection-related data is questionable, so there are just for information purposes. 373
