During the later centuries the Our Lady of Hungary iconographie type was almost executively identified by Women Clothed in the Sun. This study examines its interconnection with the group of the Hungarian holy kings. In the Hungarian art Patrona Hungáriáé with the Hungarian holy kings was one of the most widely used types of representation from the late Middle Ages. Natyi At the beginning of the XVI century, the period immediately preceding the Mohács disaster, the unified edited composition occurs at the front pages of printed missals or as an opening picture in each volume. The study examines the developing roots of this widespread type of image, during the following centuries enjoying tremendous popularity in the various branches of fine arts (painting, graphics, altar and public sculpture, etc.). 336
