Portable catafalques are already missing from most settlements, since its wooden stretcher had rotted or broken. In Csanytelek, the parish priest donated the portable catafalque to the museum in Szentes, since in the village nobody considers it a valuable object. In Szegvár, a similar object was donated to the Village Museum in 2012. At the beginning of the 21st century, it seems as a matter of course to travel everywhere by car. Also, we use this mean of transport at funerals to take coffins to the funeral home and the grave. In Szegvár, people still follow the customs of their ancestors, also reflected in the equipment they use. At funerals, standard-bearers keep up tradition and the relatives escort their deceased in a horse-drawn hearse. The glass hearse used today has been serving the village dwellers since 1977. Hopefully, after structural repair, the hearse will serve funeral services for a long time. 270
