A RÉGÉSZETI OSZTÁLY ISMERTETETT MŰTÁRGYAI 21. Idol (újkőkor) Lelőhelye: Körösladány határa Leltári száma: 75.87.1. H.: 7,5 cm, Sz.: 4,4 cm, V.: 1 ? 8 cm Egetett agyagból készült, álló, emberszerű alakot min­táz. Terepbejárás során, a mai felszínről került elő. A fej alatt a felsőtest és a lábak meander mintával díszítettek. A vállon elhelyezett áttörések arra utalhatnak, hogy a tárgyat esetleg felfüggesztve viselték. Az újkőkor idoljainak ember­szerűen formait alakjai minden bizonnyal isteneket jelké­E ezhettek, s a közösség, az egyén védelmét, jólétét voltak ivatottak szolgálni. 22. Kis edény (középső bronzkor) Lelőhelye: Gyulavarsánd-Laposhalom Leltári száma: 52.32.1. M.: 11 cm, Szá.: 7 cm, Fá.: 3 cm A kihajló perem alatt a hosszú nyak tölcsérszerűen szűkül a vállvonalig, imien az edénytest erősen szélesedik, majd szűkül a magas, kis talpgyűrűig. A fülek a perem fölé magasodnak, és a vállvonalra támaszkodnak. A hason négy, szabályosan elhelyezett kicsúcsosodás van. A teljes edény­test párhuzamos árkolásokkal díszített, a perem alatt egy sorban körbefutó ún. girland motívum látható. A korszak látványos kerámiatermekeit tekintve is különleges, finoman kidolgozott tárgy. 23. Síp (középső bronzkor) Lelőhelye: Békés-Várdomb Leltári száma: 53.4900.1. H.: 7,3 cm, Atm.: 1,2 és 2,2 cm A sípot csontból faragták, csiszolták, majd koncentri­kus, bevésett körökkel díszítették. A tárgy a korszak egyik legjelentősebb, erődített településén került napvilágra. 24. Balta (középső bronzkor) Lelőhelye: Battonya, Vörös Október tsz homokbányája Leltári száma: 76.13.1. A penge hossza: 14,8 cm, a nyélhát hossza: 11,1 cm Kerek pengerészű, hosszú nyélháttal ellátott bronzbalta. A nyélhát es a nyéllyuk közötti rész horonydíszes. A kor­szak egyik legmívesebb tárgytípusa, fegyverként és haszná­lati eszközként egyaránt alkalmazhatták. Sírból került elő, a halottal eltemetett mellékletként. 25. Lószerszámok (korai vaskor) Lelőhelyük: Sarkad Leltári számuk: 95.25.1 - 95.25.4; 95.25.6. Atm.: 5 cm, 6,4 cm, 8,6 cm Bronzból készültek, áttört korong alakúak. A központi tagok kereszt alakban megformáltak, a szárakat bevésett koncentrikus körök díszítik. A hátoldalon négy- illetve kétosztatú elosztószerkezet van. A lószerszámzat részeiként a szíjak vezetését, díszítését szolgálták. A tárgyak egy na­f yobo - lószerszámokat és bronzedényeket tartalmazó ­incslelet darabjai, melyeket áldozati céllal, egyidőben rejt­hettek a földbe. 26. Lándzsa (középső vaskor - szkíta kor) Lelőhelye: Medgyesegyháza Leltári száma: 95.8.1. H.: 31,3 cm, a köpű átmérője: 2,5 cm Vasból készült. A keskeny penge közepén széles, ma­gas, tagolt borda fut. Köpűje szélénél a nyél rögzítésére szolgáló kerek áttörés van. Jellegzetes szkíta fegyver. 27. Edények (késő vaskor - kelta kor) a., Urna Lelőhelye: Bánkút-Rózsamajor Leltári száma: 74.32.13. M: 30,5 cm, Szá.: 24,5 cm, Fá.: 11,5 cm Korongolt, nagyméretű, gömbös testű urna, sírból származik. A kihajló perem alatt széles besimítás, a vállvo­nalon pedig kettős borda fut. b., Fazék Lelőhelye: Bánkút-Rózsamajor Leltári száma: 74.32.12. M.: 14,6 cm, Szá.: 12,3 cm, Fá.: 7,8 cm 120 THE PRESENTED ITEMS OF THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL DEPARTMENT 21. Idol (neolithic age) Place of finding: the fields of Körösladány Inventory number: 75.87.1. L: 7.5 cm, W.: 4.4 cm, Th.: 1.8 cm It was made of terra-cotta and shaped like a human body. It was found during an exploration of the ground, on the present­day surface. The bust below the head and the legs are orna­mented with meander pattern. Piercings located on the shoulder suggest that the object was worn probably in a suspended way. The neolithic idols shaped like a human body most probably symbolised gods and they were created to protect and to prosper the community and the individual. 22. Small pot (middle bronze age) Place of finding: Gyulavarsánd-Laposhalom Inventory number: 52.32.1 H.: 11 cm Md.: 7 cm Bd.: 3 cm The long neck below the out-leaning rim narrows as a fun­nel till the line of the shoulder, herefrom the body of the pot extends very much, afterwards it narrows to the tall, small foot ring. The ears grow higher than the rim and they are founded on the line of the shoulder. There are four, symmetrically placed peaks on the belly. The whole body of the pot is ornamented with parallel ditches, under the rim a so called girland motive runs around in one line. Even if we take the spectacular ceramic products of the age, it is a special, finely elaborated object. 23. Pipe (middle bronze age) Place of finding: Békés-Castle hill Inventory number: 53.4900.1 L.: 7.3 cm D.: 1.2 and 2.2 cm The pipe was carved out of bone, it was polished and af­terwards ornamented with concentrated, engraved circles. The object was found at one of the most significant, fortified settle­ment of the age. 24. Axe (middle bronze age) Place of finding: Battonya, the sand-pit of the Red October Co-operative Inventory number: 76.13.1 L.: 14.8 cm out of which the back of the handle: 11.1 cm A bronze axe with orbicular blade, supplied with long han­dle-back. The part between the handle-back and handle-hole is ornamented with groove. The mostly elaborated object-type of the age, it was used most probably both as weapon and as in­strument of labour. It was found in a grave as appendix buried with the corpse. 25. Gears (early iron age) Place of finding: Sarkad Inventory number: 95.25.1-95.25.4; 95.25.6 D.: 5 cm, 6.4 cm, 8.6 cm They were made of bronze, and they were shaped like pierced disks. The central parts were formed in cross shape, the shanks are ornamented with engraved concentrated circles. On the backside there is a structure divided into four or two parts which belonged to the gear and it led and ornamented the straps. The objects are part of a bigger treasure-trove containing gears and bronze pots which were probably dug into the ground together as sacrifice. 26. Pike (middle iron age - Scythian age) Place of finding: Medgyesegyháza Inventory number: 95.8.1 L.: 31.3 cm, diameter of the hose: 2.5 cm It was made out of iron. In the middle of the thin blade a high, divided rib runs. At the rim of the hose an orbit pierce can be found for fixing the handle. Characteristic Scythian weapon. 27. Pots (late iron age - Celtic age) a., Urn Place of finding: Bánkút-Rózsamajor Inventory number: 74.32.13 H.: 30.5 cm, Bd.: 24.5 cm, Md.: 11.5 cm Huge urn made on the potter's wheel, with globe-shaped belly, found in a grave. Wide in-smoothing runs under the out­leaning rim and double-rib runs on the line of the shoulder. b., Pot Place of finding: Bánkút-Rózsamajor Inventory number: 74.32.12 H.: 14.6 cm, Bd.: 12.3 cm, Md.: 7.8 cm
