In the Szeged-Makó section of motorway M43 and prior to the attached works of the road bypassing Makó, from 2008 to 2009, archaeological excavations in 31 sites, from 2008 to 2009, were carried out by the Móra Ferenc Museum in Szeged. Site 23 is located on a high bank of NE-SW direction, at the junction with Igási street, of the public road and the railway line connecting Hódmezővásárhely to Makó.

In the settlement portion located in the outskirts of Makó, besides some pits of various form and size, seven semi-subterranean structures, four outdoor furnaces and a number of ditches with different functions, were found. In several cases, the
