Martyin Emília: Honos és betelepült románok a mai Magyarországon
Honos és betelepült románok a mai Magyarországon Native and Settled Romanians in Contemporary Hungary - Emília Martyin Resume In raising the theme, primarily, the issue of who, at the turn of the millennium, can be regarded Romanians living in Hungary, must be clarified since, due to the migration processes of the recent decades, ethnic Romanian population of several status types can be calculated with. On the one hand, there are Romanian diaspora communities that have a history of more than two centuries in their current places of residence, which may also be confirmed by ecclesiastical protocolla and there are new settlers. Different from settlement to settlement, "native" Romanians have a unique identity position, since their history was formed according to the historic-social endowments of a given settlement, which has resulted in various stages of assimilation and loss of language. In Hungary, there are no two Romanian diaspora communities, which, in view of identity, currently have the same position. Since the time following the transition period, a new trend has been visible: a palpable massive wave of migration of Romanians (or better: settlers from Romania). As to the method and the cause and the purpose of settling during modern migration, significant differences have shown up. Resettlement and integration cause difficulties for both those intending to settle down and those living here for centuries with identical roots but being in various stages of loss of identity and language. The study, revealing the results of research based on collections in Méhkerék, presents recent and emerging domestic Romanian-Romanian coexistence.
