This work - full with political implications - made the artist famous. These works are in Majdanek, Freiberg. From this idea of defending the factory was born his mosaiccomposition entitled "Together", which can be found in the hall of Diósgyőr Vasgyár. This is one of the most beautiful mosaics, which was created in the beginning of the Eighties. Imre Tóth consciously placed man into the centre of his works and he also says that the fine arts can't exist without. At the first moment his paining changed into the non-figurative interior of industry, in his landscapes you can find the human being. Characteristic in his art is also the conscious upholding of integrity. For this consistence and often the courage in his work he got from the profession of the fine arts the greatest appreciation (Munkácsy Mihály-prize 1957, Derkovits-prize 1962, the Winter Exhibitionprize of Miskolc, a golden certificate on the Biennale on Landscape Painting 1976) as environment (the prize of the city of Miskolc, the local government of the county Borsod-AbaújZemplén, and the prize of the National Unions Council 1982) The Herman Ottó Museum has already arranged two exhibitions of this rare exhibitor. The first one was in 1989 in Sárospatak, the second was in 2001 in Miskolc. For the museum it's of further importance that this monograph was written about him. Because the artistic course of life comes together with the 50 years old fine arts in Miskolc and because the every day life of the people living here is reflected with whole-hearted sincerity and consistency in the art of Imre Tóth.
