Történettudomány - Hajdú Ildikó: Száz év a hegyaljai szövetkezetek életében
Száz év a hegyaljai szövetkezetek életében 219 II. 040710TC, 2004 Hát a szövetkezeti formák működtek, hát itt is volt, azt hiszem, szőlőtermesztő szakcsoport. Aztán ezek valamilyen oknálfogva megszűntek. Általában ezek rossz szájízzel szűntek meg, ezért ódzkodnak most ezektől a szövetkezésektől. A HUNDRED YEARS IN THE LIVES OF COOPERATIVES IN HEGYALJA Keywords: Cooperative, collective activity, Olson-paradox, Tokaj-Hegyalja Cooperation was a major factor in the processes of viticulture and winemaking at Tokaj-Hegyalja for centuries, constantly shifting over time in order to adapt to socioeconomic changes. The following study takes the types of cooperation and socioeconomic events into account which contributed to the appearance of cooperatives in the Hegyalja region, or led to changes in their role and structure from time to time. The essential basis of the study is that in an economy, cooperation between participants plays a vital organizational role. Economic cooperation, running parallel with the diversification of society, created formal, informal, top-down and grass roots groups. Many types of collective activities were present in wine communities and organizations as early as the 19th century, ranging from loosely organized, temporary or long-term cooperation with certain workflows to collective activities regulated by village communities. Initiatives for cooperative businesses in Europe first began in the second half of the 19th century. Shortly after, the first cooperatives emerged in Hungary as well. They were generally characterized by being autonomous organizations built on the notion of shared funds, possessions, labour or sales, based on the cooperation of members with otherwise little individual wealth and production assets. Concurrently with societal changes, their roles and significance changed over time, mainly due to the effects of initiatives coming from the top. As a result they often disappeared or went through drastic changes before they could gain enough traction or root themselves economically. The following study seeks to overview the history, theoretical background and organisation in response to socioeconomic shifts of such cooperatives in the region of Tokaj-Hegyalja dedicated to viticulture and winemaking, with primarily focusing on the settlements Tállya and Tarcal.
