Régészet - Csengeri Piroska: Újabb középső neolitikus arcos edények Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén megyéből

60 Csengeti Piroska New excavated finds of the county were came to light from common settlement features, from clay-extraction pits (e.g. Encs-Kelecsény, sherds No. 9—10, Hejőkürt-LIDL logisztikai központ, sherd No. 18 and pieces of Miskolc-ALDI 2, Rásonysápberencs-Szőlő alja, Sajószentpéter-Kövecses, Sajóvámos-COOP). Ritual bury can be supposed at the case of the Rásonysápberencs vessel alone. Several sherds from Felsővadász-Várdomb, Garadna, Mezőkeresztes-Cet-halom (M3-site No. 10), Sajószentpéter- Kövecses and Sajóvámos that contained only the fragments of the face of the vessels refer to deliberate breaking of them. But there hasn’t been enough information to decide the question whether they had been thrown away or used further after the breakage. Finally, it can be said that the new face-decorated vessels of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County have fitted well among the previously known Middle Neolithic ones and also have confirmed the notions based on the analysis of Garadna items (Csengeri 2011a). In addition, finds introduced here provide a further proof of the uniformity of their forming as well as prevalence of the custom(s) or ritual(s) connected with them at communities lived in north-eastern part of the Carpathian basin in the second half of the Middle Neolithic. Certain characteristics of these “northern” face-decorated vessels with an arched sign have been similar to that of the “southern” face vessels of the Szakálhát culture with an M-sign. It also implies the cultural relationship/kinship of the Tiszadob-Bükk communities with the Szakálhát culture’s ones. [Translated by the author] Csengeri, Piroska
