Szalóki Dezső és Hegyessy Gábor: Adatok a Bodrogköz bogárfaunájához (Coleoptera: Cantharoidea, Cleroidea, Lymexyloidea, Cucujoidea [részben], Tenebrionoidea)
Research on beetle fauna of Hungarian Bodrogköz began in 1993. We got possession of a lot of informations about it's scientific archievements. Mainly Gábor Hegyessy - who is an employee of Kazinczy Museum) did samplings; beside him Ottó Merkl - who is one of curators of Hungarian Natural History Museum - helped in determination. There are many interesting and rare beetles among known species. Some beetle species from Bodrogköz became protected legally by nature conservation in the last decades. Such Meloe decorus Brandt et Erichson, 1832, Hycleus tenerus (Germar, 1834) and Schizotus pectinicornis (Linnaeus, 1758). Ancyrona japonica Reitter, 1889, Allonyx quadrimaculatus (Schaller, 1783), Denops albofasciatus (Charpentier, 1825), Litargus balteatus Leconte, 1856, Prostomis mandibularis (Fabricius, 1801), Cerocoma schaefferi (Linnaeus, 1758) and Anthicus ater (Panzer, 1796)are not protected in Hungary but they are worth mentioning because of their low numbers.
