Janó Ákos: Sárospatak és vidéke helytörténeti, néprajzi irodalma. (Documentatio Borsodiensis 7. Herman Ottó Múzeum Miskolc, 1987)

SUMMARY

Our bibliography consists of two parts: detailed entries in alphabetical order of the authors' nemes and a reference. The individual authors' all works in the order of their edition can be found together. Thus, the complete material of the region historians and ethnographers, social workers contributing to the disclosure and publication of data and also the works of reporters making non-fiction and popularizing activity can easily be surveyed, and also a chronological information can be obtained about the research and information progress and the enlargment of the material. In the first part, the short signs of the studies followed by the entries consist of the author's full name and the date of edition of the work. If an author has several studies published in the same year, then they will be indicated by different letters. This way of indication in the notes and references of scientific studies has become a general, internationally adapted practice, however, as far as we are informed, it has not been applied in bibliography. The second part of our work is the reference, partly in thematic order, partly divided into regions: it enlists the historic and ethnographic literature in separate geographical units. The first three points of the reference give the far reaching literature of the natural status, general historic, geographic, economic and social progress on the whole region, then it contains the actual literature related to two smaller units, i. e. Hegyalja and Bodrogköz. Following the general and the actual literature of the whole region and the smaller regional units respectively, the reference sunmarizes the knowledge material related to Sárospatak. This "chapter" with the arrangement of the disclosed knowledge material into possible close theme-circles, may as wel] serve as the scheme of the town history. The material of ethnographic and folk-speech literature arranged in theme circles where the short signs of entries are indicated also with the individual places. Data gathering to the entries was completed on 31st December, 1983. Therefore, studies in ethnogaphy and region history published following this date are not considered.
