Remembering János Déri (1925–2016)

Éva Gál ?e late János Déri, who passed away in 2016, was the retired marketing manager of the Pécs Gloves Factory. Being a prominent researcher of glove manufacturing traditions, he was involved in organising exhibitions, producing professional and popular publications, gave presentations for audience interested. Ha established a unique industry and fashion history collection which the Hungarian State first declared protected in 2005 then bought in 2006. He has always been looked upon by the colleagues involved in local glove manufacturing as the doyen of this special and unique leather processing profession. We pay tribute to his memory by recalling his work.
