A Janus Pannonius Múzeum Évkönyve ( 2017 ) 584 történeteken keresztül lehet a múlt mindennapjait is megismerni, megélni. Kiderül belőle, hogy jelentős gazdasági értéket csak nagyon hosszú tanulással és munkával lehet megalkotni. Egy minőségi kesztyű előállítása nagyon nagy szakmabeli tudást feltételez, amely a bőrkikészítéstől a szabászok munkáján át a varrásig terjed. De legalább ennyire fontos a családi jellegű működés, az apáról fiúra szálló tudás, s annak felismerése, hogy egy gyár sikerének záloga az állandó megújulás keresése, amihez pedig magas szintű iskolázottság és nemzetközi ismeretek kellenek. Ajánlom ezt a munkát azoknak, akik hisznek a befektetett munka és tanulás megtérülésében, a tradicionális szakmai tudásban, a múlt értékeinek mai felhasználásában. Book of Gloves Glove-wear, Glove cra?, Pécs Glove (review) Éva Gál A special book was published by Janus Pannonius Museum as a result of several years of preparatory work in 2016, sponsored by the Department of the National Cultural Fund and a number of other sponsors. ?e main inspiration of the publication of the volume was the unique collection of the Pécs Glove Factory, created by János Déri, which was later protected and acquired by the Hungarian State. ?e collection has been managed by Janus Pannonius Museum since 2006. In addition to presenting this collection, the volume includes the history of the world famous glove production in Pécs (based on archival sources), the technology that has kept the handicra? character until today, the value-creating activity of the Hamerli family, and some general cultural-history curiosities related to gloves as items of clothing. When presenting the local tradition of the glove manufacturing industry, the volume, with the aim of giving a complete overview, is introducing the current manufacturers as well. ?e book, illustrated with more than 300 pictures, is meant for the people who are interested in browsing in the world of gloves, as well as for the masters of glove manufacturing and the young people who are just getting familiar with knacks of the profession.
