A Janus Pannonius Múzeum Évkönyve ( 2017 ) 466 based on a previous practice used in the city (1919–1920), and in several other Hungarian cities, applied a method of issuing treasury vouchers in 1, 10, 20, 50 and 100 pengő denominations. ?e test prints of the 1- pengő denomination of the planned series were made in large quantities in the press machine located in the cellar of the mayor’s office. ?e planned front-face print of the 100-pen­gő treasury vouchers is also known, however, these prints are much rarer. ?e variations of the 10, 20, 50 and 100-pengő denominations, designed mostly by Ernő Gebauer, a well.known local painter, survived on colour proofs and found in the collection of the Historical Department of Janus Pannonius Museum.
