1A szigetvári Zrínyi Miklós Múzeum működésének "átmeneti szünetelése" (amely a mai napig tart!) miatt vezetője, Kováts Valéria 1960. november 1 -tol a JPMben dolgozott régész-történész beosztásban. 9. kép: Kováts Valéria régész sírfeltárás közben (1960-as évek) A múzeum gyűjteménye 1960 nyaráig a szigetvári vár területén álló törökkori dzsámi épületében és az ehhez kapcsolt iroda és raktárhelyiségekben volt elhelyezve. A várban az Országos Műemléki Felügyelőség (OMF) által irányított műemléki helyreállító munkák következtében azonban a kiállítást le kellett bontani, anyagának egy részét pécsi múzeumi raktárakban, másik részét a várban kellett elhelyezni. A Komlói Múzeum, amely 1954 óta működik, lényegében geológiai és bányászattörténeti gyűjteményére épülő kiállítással rendelkezett az 1960-as évek elején. A múzeum gondnokvezetője Kutnyánszky József jelentős gyűjteménygyarapítást végzett több évtizedes munkája során. Az 1961. évi jelentés alapján a megyei múzeumi szervezethez tartozott még a jelentős számú látogatót fogadó siklósi várban működő Siklósi Múzeumi Kiállítás, amelyet 1961-ben nyitottak meg 4 teremben. Közülük 1 teremben a környék régészeti emlékeit mutatták be, a további 3 teremben pedig vártörténeti anyagot helyeztek el. A Pécsváradi Múzeumi Kiállítás a vár Árpád-kori János Ete, custodian-manager of the Dorottya Kanizsai Museum (DKM) at Mohács, spent more than four decades dealing with museum matters, carrying out local history research and collecting. Archaeologist Valéria Kováts is excavating a tomb (1960s) Until the summer of 1960 the museum's collection was stored in the castle grounds, in the building of the Turkish mosque and accompanying offices and storage areas. However, following the castle restoration work carried out by the National Inspectorate for Monuments, the exhibition had to be dismantled and its material placed in storage, partly in the warehouses of the Pécs Museum, and partly in the castle. By the early 1960s, Komló Museum, which had been operating since 1954, had an exhibition primarily made up from its geological and mining history collection. The custodian-manager of the museum József Kutnyánszky had been responsible for significant growth in the collection in the course of many decades' work. From the 1961 annual report it can be gathered that the Siklós Museum Exhibition, which opened that year in four
