Therefore in 1993 all important waters were surveyed and in some places we collected very rich material either personally on light or by portable light traps. During this survey we concluded that mostly the upper reaches of the river Tisza, the river Túr (Old-Túr and Túr channel), the frontier brook Batár (on the Hungarian-Ukrainan border) and the water-course G6gôSzenke were the most excellent sites as regards their caddisfly communities. Two of their species had never been collected in Hungary before: we caught the first specimens of Oxyethira tristella Kalp. and Stactobiella risi (Felber) during this year (NÓGRÁDI 1994). The same year a collecting group organized by the Management of the Hortobágy National Park helped us in the field work: the fellow workers Mr. I. Wass and Mr. T. Somlai collected caddisfly material thirteen times for the purpose of this examination. They provided several hundreds of adults from nine points. In 1994 we organized light-trapping along the OldTúr river (in Túristvándi, see collecting sites) with the help of the Management of the Hortobágy National Park (namely Mr. G. Szilágyi), and this trap provided a huge amount of material (see Table 2, Figs. 1-2). The trap was fitted with a 80 Watt (mixed light) mercury vapour bulb, and aethylen-glycole was used as killing agent. During this year we collected very important material in other sites as well.
