From outer longitudinal side (?). 6,8X5,8 cm. Broken Th: 1,3 cm. R.83.134.2. (Cat. XIV. №6). The flagged inner courtyard (N) was surrounded by a 300 cm wide corridor. We take stock first of the section between the rooms in the E wing (I, J, К and L) and the corridor (M/l — 3). Corridor M (Blocks II, V, XIII) Figs. 2,99, 111-115. Dimensions: N-S = 19 m E-W = 300 cm Walls: N = W16/60-65 cm S - W4/60 cm E = W6/60 cm W = W20/60 cm With a view to the ensuing excavation of heating spaces Fpl 1—4, used for heating the rooms in the E wing, the corridor was unearthed in three stages. Dimensions: N-S = 750 cm E-W = 300 cm POINTS OF REFERENCE: 20 = 188,47 21 = 188,14 73 = 188,30 74 = 188,50 75 = 188,51 (top of wall W4) The 40 cm wide corridor set with red Cserkut-stones ran toward the E, leading into the lowermost heating spaces of the rooms, underneath the one-time flooring supported by the hypocaust pillars. The corners were all elaborately fashioned from bricks. These spaces we uncovered till the height of 30 cm. The whole surface of the plastered inner space was burnt red: 130 cm. The stone-arched space here supported a 10—15 cm thick layer of loose, black, burnt and ashy filling. ANIMAL BONES: cf, Vörös, 1987. ARTICLES: Mil section (Blocks V-XII), 0-50 cm: IRON OBJECT. Cylindrical rod, with raised rectangular "cap" on one end. Other end flattened, with a 1,4X 0,5 cm oblong-shaped perforation. Intact. L: 17,7, Th: 1,4-1,1 cm. Head: 2,9X2 cm. L: 1,6 cm. R.83. 116.1.
