Our archives have many document groups that cannot be found anywhere else. They cannot be published in detail because of excessive fragmentation. We still should mention that we possess an invaluable collection from 1956 and the copy collection of foreign public collection relating to Hungary The most important parts of our 1956 fonds are the records of the leader bodies of Hungarian Labourers' Party originating from between 24 th and 28 th October 1956, and the material of the central party duty and the files of the workers' council. The most valuable of the documents from foreign collections relating to Hungary are from Moscow, from the archives of Comintern and the ones from the Austrian and British archives. As a result of continuous archival disclosure in Moscow (material dating froml957) we are able to have access to the following: the documents of Hungarian section of Comintern the documents of the head bodies of Communist International, the Young Communist International, the Peasants' International and Trade Union International and the International Red Aids relating to Hungary and hundreds of personal materials are available for researchers. The Austrian document copies involve the history of Hungarian workers' movement from the beginning to 1938 but the wealthiest ones are in connection with the early working-class movement, the events of Hungarian Soviet Republic and the Austrian Communist and Social Democratic emigration. The documents collected from the British archives originate from the materials held in the Public Record Office of Labour Party and Foreign Office. The most valuable ones are the records of ambassadors and their political diaries plus the documents of SZEB. Detailed list is available for researchers for most of the copies.
