Ez hivatva van előkészíteni mind hely- és intézménytörténeti, mind regionális és össztársadalmi szempontból az egész honi értelmiségtörténet megújulását.

On a Major Research: Aristocrats, Christians, and Jews among Peregrine Students (1850-1918)

In my brief presentation, 1 tried to illustrate the simple but yet untapped potential of the complex statistical analysis of prosopographies realized by László Szögi and his colleagues. The treasure trove of these databases, revealed to the historians, still holds numerous important and undiscovered connections that are statistically demonstrable. In addition, it enables the comparative analysis of the peregrine student and their equivalents educated in Hungary as well as the professional intellectuals they became. This is to prepare the revival of the complete domestic intellectual history as regards local history, institutional history, the region and the society as a whole.
